2019%20Portsmouth%20Numbers

These are the new Portsmouth numbers for this year, if you wish to know another class then let me know and I can add it. I have included all of the commonly sailed classes at Arden Sailing Club.

Communication by Whistle

All instructors and volunteers will carry whistles.

In the event of an emergency the person identifying the situation will blow three long blasts on their whistle. Anyone hearing the signal will respond with two long blasts. If the response signal has not been heard within 20 seconds the initiator will respond with a repeat of the three long blasts. The objective is to alert the safety boat and Principal/CI.

Single long blasts of the whistle will be used on all vessels in the event of fog.
