Sunday saw a beautifully warm day with a good wind for the 12th race in the pursuit series at Arden Sailing Club, near Defford.

After the first of the ten boats got away at 13:20 then the rest of the fleet was release according to handicap at regular intervals, leaving Niall Campbell sailing his Enterprise single-handed as the final starter 15 minutes later. After an hour and ten minutes the fleet were spread along the length of the course. This necessitated the O.O.D. taking the safety boat to ensure the results for the leaders could be determined accurately while the more minor placing were confirmed by the competitors, as the bend in the river made it impossible to see all at once.  The overall results were:- Stuart & Caroline Stephen (Enterprise) 1st, Dave Bryden (Heron) 2nd, Alan Salerman (Single Handed Enterprise) 3rd, Tricia Wood (Comet) 4th, Malcolm Colledge (Comet) 5th, Alan Browning (Solo) 6th, Duncan Campbell (Laser) 7th, Niall Campbell (Single Handed Enterprise) 8th, Greg Whithouse (Comet) 9th, David Stephen (laser) 10th.

The second race of the day was the 8th in the Arden Burgee series. With ten boats again taking to the water, the fleet was sent off in 2 flights.  The First start was the faster boats, 3 Enterprises and 2 Lasers.  They all had a clean start, clearing room for the 3 Comets, a Heron and the Laser Fun who started 5 minutes later. The overall results were:- Stuart & Caroline Stephen (Enterprise) 1st, Niall Campbell (Single Handed Enterprise) 2nd, Dave Bryden (Heron) 3rd, Duncan Campbell (Laser) 4th, Tricia Wood (Comet) 5th, Malcolme Colledge (Comet) 6th, Alan Salerman (Single Handed Enterprise) 7th, David Stephen (Laser) 8th, Greg Whithouse (Comet) 9th, Ian Spenca (laser Fun) 10th.
